Trains!!

The use of travelling is to regulate the imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. Samuel Johnson

Lately, our only mode of travelling has primarily been by vehicle.  Oh, we have ventured across a rive by ferry and we have enjoyed several boat rides since Dustin's birth.  I have not travelled by airplane since prior to Dustin's birth.  Tim is not looking forward to the day when we attempt to carry multiple car seats, small luggage and our two boys on a plane to only listen to them protest the entire journey because they are forced to the confined space of an airplane seat or their momma or daddy's lap.  And, since I have not ventured to take a trip and leave the boys for a few days...there are no trips to take that are not within a short care ride away.

A recent mode of transportation that we experienced was a train ride!

Last weekend, we travelled to New Haven, Kentucky to visit with a most famous train.  His name is Thomas!
It was a pretty good day, Dustin just loves trains!  Although, it sure was sweltering hot and Jackson made certain to let us know just how uncomfortable he was!  The photo above is Dustin playing in a bucket of bubbles.
The bubble truck!  This thing was so cool.  Bubbles were coming out of it all over the place.  I just wonder if we coulda' taken my dad's old ford pick up truck and have created this truck.  Too bad it was sold.
Dustin had his face painted like Spiderman.  He does not look too certain about the activity.

Here he is playing with one of the several model train sets that were at the event.  Did I already mention that he really enjoys trains?

Next, we went on a little train ride.  Mommy got to snuggle with Jackson.

Little Man enjoyed watching out the window of the train.  Although, about five minutes into the ride he did say "All done".
