Trick or Treating with the Famous Ones

For Halloween weekend, we visited the Louisville Zoo!!  It was one of the world largest Halloween parties...or so they claim!

We got to spend some quality time for famous ones!

 Like these elephants...Dustin's favorite.

 These elephants can do tricks.

 Amazingly large Lego's!

 Mommy's looking really silly...

Pumpkins who really don't feel well.

 Pumpkin and mommy.

 Shrek and Fiona!

 The most cheesiest looking Superman...ever!!

 Batman and Woman!

 Hay mazes--what a party!

 Pirates...he was a little frightening!

The gang from the Wizard of Oz!  By this time, Dustin had reached his limit of famous ones!

Daycare Halloween Party

Halloween this year included a "party" at the daycare.  Mommy showed up to participate in the party and it certainly looked like a whole lotta sugary treats and sweet little boys and girls!

Dustin dressed up as Spiderman...he loved his spidey costume.

In the meantime, our little pumpkin was...a little pumpkin!

Here, the little pumpkin wanted his mommy!

Fall Visit to West Virginia

A few weeks ago we visited West Virginia to see the boys' grandmas and grandpas.  My guys had a great time hanging out in the fall outdoors in the Wild Wonderful State!

Dustin enjoyed throwing rocks into the creek.

Sometimes there is just a little too much sun in the eyes.

I enjoy trying to eat the fall leaves that have fallen from the trees.  Oh, and sometimes a horse is just perfect for a scenic background shot.

Two is most certainly better than one.

Grandma and Grandpa let us pick veggies from the veggie garden.

Ah, fall means fun!!

Pumpkins, corn mazes and tractor rides...Oh my!

Mommy and the boys visited West Virginia a few weeks ago.  As part of the trip, we took an unexpected detour with Uncle Pickles to the pumpkin patch!
Here is Uncle Pickles with our Little Man (otherwise lately known as the "CEO").  Cousin Hopey looks on in the foreground.

Hopey was so sweet to hold Dustin's baby pumpkin!

What little boy doesn't like his big tractor?  We were all able to take a hay ride (sans hay) on the trailer being pulled by this John Deere wanna be.

 Corn with life like faces!

Cows!  Can I get a "MOOOO"!

MOOOOOO!!!!!

Jackson and Mommy on the tractor ride.  He can almost eat his entire hand.

 Moving pumpkins around.

They have to be in just the perfect spot.

Ah...perfect!

Seven Months!

Someone turned Seven months old a few weeks ago!

With the ripe old age of seven months, comes great responsibility.  For instance,

Wearing stylish jeans...here I am wearing jeans for the first time!

I am moving faster and faster, even doing an army crawl!

I am so flexible and can reach beyond my toes!

I must fight off the paparazzi!

I know exactly where to find all of the interesting things!

I enjoy laying on my belly..but, watch out--I will take off!

Really, I want to take off, but I'm stuck on this chair!

What's up with me at 7 months old?

-I perform the "army crawl" and move very fast.
-I like to get into interesting stuff-especially those things that mommy and daddy would prefer that I leave alone.
-I think my older brother is very funny.  I try to be just like him.  Only, I accidentally knock down his block towers.  He seems upset by this.
-I am eating more and more solid foods.
-I wear a size 3 diaper.
-I wear mostly size 9 month clothing, some 12 month and very few 6-9 months (they seem to be a bit snug).
-I am so happy most of the time and laugh so hard, my laugh is infectious and even makes my brother run around in circles!

We are Brothers!

We are brothers.

We are pals.  We do everything together.

We read books together.

We fight over the candle numbers.

We laugh together.  Sometimes, Dustin watches out for mommy and daddy--he's the "lookout guy", the one who makes certain that we stay out of trouble--or that we at least do not get caught with our hands in the cookie jar!

We wear shirts that proclaim our status as siblings.  Dustin is the "Big Brother".

We each believe that the lime light should be his.  When mommy brings out the camera...watch out!

We both LOVE cords.  Much to mommy and daddy's delight!

As much as I love my Big Brother, it sure feels good to have this chair all to myself!  Now, I can really kick it!

A Visit to the Louisville Science Center

The first weekend in October, we ventured into Louisville to visit the Sesame Body Show at the Louisville Science Center.  Dustin had a great time visiting the exhibit and seeing Elmo!

The Center has a very cool water feature where even mommy and daddy enjoyed some play time!

Here is Dustin looking at Elmo's feet...

Daddy and Mommy showing Dustin how to push the pins up in the tray to create an outline of his hand.

And, Dustin does it with his hand!

Focusing on the importance of good hand washing and teeth brushing...

After visiting the body exhibit, we ventured over to Indiana and picked up a few treats at Schimpff's...

Then, we headed to Starlight, Indiana, for a visit to Huber's orchard and winery...

It was a rainy day, so we did not get some good orchard, pumpkin shots, but Dustin had a good time checking out the ducks.
