The Walker--Number 2

On March 18th our baby took his very first steps...many days later, I captured it on video!

ONE

One last hurrah with the candle!

 Oh, candle...how I will miss you so.

But, I'm so happy that I am one!  And now, it's time to let you go.

 I've hunted you down, chewed on you and had so much fun.

But now, it's time to put you behind me...for I am ONE!

Eleven Months

Jackson is 11 months old!  We are counting down the days until his first birthday celebration!

 Jackson is very flexible...

 He loves to climb, in fact he climbed half way up our stairs!  He is quite the little monkey!

 He has discovered all of the fun kitchen supplies that are stored behind the cabinet doors.

 He is so strong, he can even lift a heavy measuring bowl.

 And...he thinks it's so funny to shmush the bowl against his nose.

 And then...do a little stirring.

Ten Months--A Little Delayed

Although Jackson is now 11 months old, we have yet to post his 10 month photos.  This past month has been C-R-A-Z-Y.  More about that later.  For now, Jackson at 10 months:

 He does a wonderful job of holding his own bottle (even when the one in the 10 is backward)!  And yes, he is getting very long!

 He still enjoys stealing the numbers!  He has such a happy personality!

 Everything goes into the mouth...

 Then, when it "disappears", he turns into the search party.

 He is like a little monkey...climbing and reaching.

 Sometimes mommy can fool him and hide the numbers.

 He does enjoy spending time with big brother!

Jackson -- 9 Months

Oops!! 

I went to shoot Jackson's 10 Month photos tonight and realized that we had not yet posted his 9 month shots!

At 9 months, Jackson was just as cute as ever!


 Num, num...he loves to nibble on anything...including wooden blocks!

 His eyelashes have grown so long, just like his daddy!  He is trying to be sneaky and steal all of the blocks!

He is more than ever a man on the move at 9 months of age.

What's up with Jackson at 9 months?

• still wearing a size three diaper;
• wearing size 9-12 month clothing;
• army crawling;
• more chunky baby foods;
• loves to play with his brother;
• knows exactly where all of the toys in the house are located--and spends lots of times in those places;
• sleeps through the night;
• easy-going;
• happy;
• fun-loving;
• Mamma's boy

Jackson's Eight Months

We are perpetually about a month behind.  These photos were taken almost a month ago and alas, Jackson turned eight months old a month ago!  That's okay, since this is our way of capturing some of those precious moments and milestones with our boys, better late than never!

And so, what's up with Jackson at eight months?

 He continues to search for the number!

 He enjoys striking a pose!

 Oh, he is developing more and more independent desires...sometimes he gets upset when he does not get his way!

But, he quickly recovers and expresses much excitement!

• Jackson is wearing a size three diaper and size 9 month - 12 month clothing;
• Jackson has four teeth on top and four on bottom with more on the way (as evidenced by drool and fussiness);
• Jackson continues to take his bottle, but he recently found his older brother's sippy cup, rolled over and took some swigs!;
• Jackson continues to do an army crawl--not yet pulling up, but he is so fast;
• Jackson wants to be where the action resides--quickly crawling to discover the source of any commotion in the Anderson household (which is usually his older Brother, Dustin);
• Jackson is a mommy's boy and is definitely jealous (yes, already!) of any attention that mommy gives to older Brother;
• Jackson quickly recovers from the roughness periodically asserted by his older brother;
• Jackson loves his older brother and for the most part the two boys play together so well;
• Jackson is eating 2 and 1/2 jars of baby food each day, along with one serving of whole grain cereal--he generally enjoys most food that he is given;
• Jackson has been waking up in the middle of the night for at least a month now (time for mommy and daddy to engage in some "sleep training"); and
• Jackson is so pleasant--is ticklish and has the most infectious laughter (and lots of it).  He is just a ray of sunshine and a joyous part of our family!

Seven Months!

Someone turned Seven months old a few weeks ago!

With the ripe old age of seven months, comes great responsibility.  For instance,

Wearing stylish jeans...here I am wearing jeans for the first time!

 I am moving faster and faster, even doing an army crawl!

 I am so flexible and can reach beyond my toes!

 I must fight off the paparazzi!

 I know exactly where to find all of the interesting things!

 I enjoy laying on my belly..but, watch out--I will take off!

Really, I want to take off, but I'm stuck on this chair!

What's up with me at 7 months old?

-I perform the "army crawl" and move very fast.
-I like to get into interesting stuff-especially those things that mommy and daddy would prefer that I leave alone.
-I think my older brother is very funny.  I try to be just like him.  Only, I accidentally knock down his block towers.  He seems upset by this.
-I am eating more and more solid foods.
-I wear a size 3 diaper.
-I wear mostly size 9 month clothing, some 12 month and very few 6-9 months (they seem to be a bit snug).
-I am so happy most of the time and laugh so hard, my laugh is infectious and even makes my brother run around in circles!

Jackson's Six Month Update

This is Jackson.  My mommy has gotten a bit behind on the blogging this month.  And, well, since I will be seven months old in just a week, I thought I would help her out by posting my six month shots...before the moment forever passes us by.

I'm not sure why mommy takes pictures of me sitting in my chair...it's really nothing memorable.  Although, I do look rather debonair in my cool clothes.

I am pretty excited...for I know what is about to come...

Ah, yes, everything within my reach quickly becomes my prey...

 I got the 6!!  Stand back, I have a hostage.

 Oops...at six months, I am still learning about the fine art of balance...

And the moment that we all (well, okay maybe just me) have been waiting for...

In the mouth it goes.  What can I say?  Sometimes being bad just feels... (um, there are lots of little teeth poking through my gums).

What's up with me?

Height.....27 5/8   (the 75th-90th percentile)

Weight....16lbs, 13 ounces  (the 25th-50th percentile)

Head...17 1/2    (the 75th percentile)

I love to roll from front to back and from back to front.

I am getting much better at sitting up.

I will grab anything and everything within my reach and will try very hard to even get those things not quite within my grasp.

I am eating cereal, apples, peas, squash and sweet potatoes.  I am not so interested in these foods and push them back out of my mouth.  I sure am messy.

I love hearing my voice.  The best though, is making certain that everyone else hears my voice, too.

I think it is hilarious when mommy tries to sit me on Gervais' back.

My big brother is so much fun...I want to play like he plays.

I like my sleep at night...8-10 hours without interruption!

I have at least 5 teeth that mommy can see...they are quite bothersome when breaking through my gums.

I like to say "da, da, da, da, da, da..." and "ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma..."

According to my mommy, I am just too stinkin' cute!

Jackson's 5 Months

Jackson turned five months old several weeks ago!  What's he been up to?

A whole lotta drool (the effects of the four teeth that he has)!!

Playing in the exercauser...

Hanging with the big bro'...

Eating cereal!

Did we already mention all of the drool...

Or that I love to chew on anything I can get my hands on?
